Let’s Dance

Let’s dance, you and I. I saw you watching and I saw you laugh. I caught your smile in my heart.

Let’s run, you and I. Let’s leave everything behind and run. I saw you crying and I did nothing to help. I watched your tears move on your skin and I just stared at you. So let’s run.

Let’s play, you and I. I know you can. I saw the make-believe in your eyes and I took notes on my hand. I closed my eyes and saw your face.

Let’s just sit still, you and I. No more dancing, no more running, no more make-believe, and no more tears. Let’s just here, side by side and be, you and I.
